• 3 ripe avocados
  • 1/2 cup of onion minced
  • 2 or 3 serrano peppers or chili peppers (without membranes and seeds) minced
  • 2 tablespoons of cilantro minced
  • The juice of a lemon
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 or 2 garlic cloves crushed (optional)
  • 1 or 2 tomatoes diced (optional)


Cut the avocados into halves and remove the pits. Scoop out the pulp into a large bowl and add
the lemon juice. Mash it with a fork until it becomes a purée. (You can also leave small pieces of
avocado to give consistency.) Add the onion, the pepper, the garlic, the cilantro, the tomato
(optional) and salt to taste. Mix thoroughly and serve with Turbana plantain chips.
