At the Fancy Food Summer fair held in New York, the sofi™ 2022 award was presented in the category of Pretzels, Rice Cakes & Salty Snacks to our cassava chips, recognized by the Specialty Food Association as the best product of the year.

During the first days of May, our Turbana brand received notification of the sofi™ 2022 award in the category of Pretzels, Rice Cakes & Salty Snacks, where our cassava chips were recognized as the best new product of the year. This recognition, also known as the «Oscars» for the food and beverage industry, was presented to the winning brands by the Specialty Food Association, an organization that highlights the best in this sector worldwide.

«We are very honored to receive this award in the category of Pretzels, Rice Cakes & Salty Snacks, where our cassava chips were rated as the Best New Product of the Year, especially considering that among the nominees, there were over 2,000 products in 53 categories, where judges evaluate flavor, quality, appearance, texture, aroma, ingredients, and innovation,» said María Camila Vélez Echeverri, Director of Business Development and Marketing.

This is a recognition of our team that has put their effort, passion, knowledge, and dedication into making this a reality over the years. And to the work carried out by our snack plant in the Urabá region (Antioquia), which with its production generates more than 100 direct and indirect jobs and benefits more than 2,000 families, generating a positive and sustainable impact on the development of the agricultural sector in the region and the country.
